The Latest

Just finally got Maddie to sleep. It has been a horrible few days for nap time. I think it's because the poor thing is getting her molars. Ouch. But I never realized how spoiled I was with her taking 2 great naps a day. Now she cries every time I try to lay her down and it drives me crazy!!! So finally after rocking her she went down and will hopefully sleep for a couple hours! Ahhh! I hope it's just cuz she's not feeling well and not because she's getting too stubborn. Lately her favorite word is "no," and she definitely knows how to use it. Has my sweet little angel hit the terrible two's a year early? This cannot be. Anyways, I've realized I need nap time just as much as she does.
As for JD and I, we are getting used to a long distance relationship with him flying out every Monday morning and coming back Friday evening for work. (Like you could ever get used to that. At least I have him all weekend, but it sure is getting old!). He's been working up north and will take his state test March 2nd. When he passes that, we'll hopefully be moving our little family up there so we can start a normal life again. It's been such a blessing living with my parents. Life would be so lonely if we were doing this anywhere else and we will miss being close to family terribly. JD definitely has it worse up there all alone in the Quality Inn! I'm so grateful that he works hard for us. We're really looking forward to this opportunity. I'm still loving my job in the ER, but I love being able to stay home with Maddie, of course. The weeks are flying by. Summer will be here before we know it! But I'm itching to go boarding at least once before the season's over. How am I gonna get up to Utah to do that (and make it for bunco)? I'll probably have to settle for Mountain High but it's just not the same :(.

Oh I'm sorry! Lyla was a beast when she got her molars and it messed up her sleeping habits a bit. We just gave her teething tablets and some Tylenol and that seemed to help her a TON! So, if you haven't already then maybe you can try that? Anyway, good luck to JD with his test! And enjoy all the family time you can get... It's hard being far away!

hey adrie.

i was also DYING to get out on the mountain since i was pregnant last winter. we went to mountain high last saturday and it was seriously the best snow i have seen in california. i usually went to big bear in high school, but i was very impressed with mountain high. it helped that it was snowing all day long too!!! you should totally go (hello-live in babysitters! ;) and i should totally come with. :)

i know it's not the same as utah, but it was so fun!
