Last Sunday we blessed our son. It was a very special day for our family, and we were so grateful for the family and friends that came to share it with us. We missed our family members that live too far to come! I wasn't sure what to dress him in, because I knew my big guy would look ridiculous in the traditional sweet little white outfit. He's just a tank, and anything not super masculine looks silly on this boy. So we went with the white shirt and tie. My father-in-law said it looked like he was being ordained to the Priesthood instead, and there were the jokes that he'd need a chair. (I cart the kid around all day...I think a bunch of grown men would be ok). It's true, my 3 month old looks twice his age, but my hubby got what he asked for! (He refrained from saying anything about a future involving BYU football, thank goodness). Anyways, JD blessed Luke's mind, body, and spirit. He blessed him with special gifts that would help him make good decisions in his early life. It was a beautiful blessing. As his mother, I was so greatful to hear of God's love for my sweet baby. And so greatful that Luke has such a good daddy. Here are a few pictures from that day:
P.S. It seriously took me all day to figure out how to change my blog...and I still don't really like it! I realized that trial and error doesn't work well with technology. It would probably end of saving me a ton of time if I took some classes about how to use the tools I have like my camera and Photoshop. Maybe one day I'll be able to be creative enough to make what's in my mind a reality. Until then I'll deal with mediocrity and pay someone if it bugs me too much!
